March 19, 2018

I don’t know about you ladies, but i’ve always struggled with my skin. Breakouts have been a part of my life since I’ve been younger and are still very much present now that I’m in my twenties. It’s not easy being skin, you’re either being struck by pollution, dirt, sunrays or probably a load of germs. Facewashes can definitely help but finding one that works and doesn’t have too many harmful chemicals can be difficult. So here you’ll find how eating healthy can actually give you healthier skin. Eating healthy doesn’t simply keep your body feeling great but it also helps your hair, skin, vision, and so many other things. Here’s a list of things you can consume in order to have healthy, glowing skin:

1) Fruits

Citrus fruits are known to help in skin rejuvenation while avocados have healthy fats which keep the skin flexible and moisturized. Avocados can also serve to protect the skin from sun damage.

2) Walnuts

Walnuts are a great source of essential fats, zinc, vitamin E, vitamin C, Selenium and Protein which are all crucial for healthy skin.

3) Sunflower Seeds

Nuts are great for the skin as they provide a lot of important nutrients. Sunflower seeds for example contain linoleic acid which prevents skin from becoming dry and thin.

4) Sweet Potatoes

Natural sunblock? Yes please! Sweet potatoes contain beta-carotene which protects the skin from sun damage.

 5) Green Leafy Vegetables

Veggies such as lettuce and spinach can help keep your skin healthy and glowing by bombarding it with much needed vitamins and minerals while broccoli can prevent skin cancer. Yay for green veggies!

6) Dark Chocolate

Yes ladies, you heard that right ;) Not all healthy food is boring. Cocoa contains antioxidants that can protect skin from sunburn and improve wrinkles, skin thickness, hydration, blood flow and skin texture.

7) Green Tea

Want to protect your skin from sun damage, reduce skin redness, as well as improve your skin’s hydration, thickness and elasticity? Then green tea is the drink for you!

8) Water

DRINK WATER! AS MUCH AS YOU CAN! Water is the easiest way to clean your pores and keep your skin young and hydrated.
